The Main Attractions on the East Coast
The eastern coast of the United States is a place you must pay a visit. If you are residing on the west coast of hinterland, it will not be a bad idea to give the eastern coast a visit one of these days, at least to see the great attractions that this part of the United States has to offer.If the truth must be told, this is the part of the United States where civilization began; do not forget that it has more proximity to Ireland, where the first set of modern day Americans migrated from. Many of them settled here and built this place to become an enviable piece of work. All along the east coast, you will never be in want to great sights.
Start with Niagara Falls
The Niagara Falls is one place you want to visit when you pay a visit to the east coast. This is a natural place that has given America lots of popularity across the globe. It is a geological wonder worthy of beholding. It is actually situated right at the boundary of United States with Canada. It was once called premier Honeymoon destination. There are up to 3 water falls here; they are the Bridal Veil Falls, the Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls. The water here came from the Great Lakes and it is estimated to be 12,000 years old.
Acadia National Park
This park is beautiful naturally. The land on which the park was built was actually given as donation in the early 20th century. Varieties of animals and plants can be found here. The tallest mountain on the east coast can also be found in this park. The park is the only national park that can be found in New England. Are you an adrenaline junkie or a hiker? The statue of liberty
This is yet another reason to pay a visit to the east coast without delay. The statue of liberty was actually built by France and donated to the United States as a gift. The statue represents symbol of democracy and freedom. The dedication took place on 28th day of October, 1886. It was temporarily closed to the public during the hurricane sandy incidence. However, it is now open again to the general public.
