Today we will be traveling to Wisconsin and Minnesota. Both states are well-known industrial states in the Midwestern United States. While Wisconsin is America’s “Dairyland,” especially known for producing cheese, Minnesota is famous for its milling industry. Today's trip will take you to experience the culture and history as well as the beautiful rural scenery of the two Midwestern states in America.

Special Notes: If the Mill City Museum is closed for unforeseen reason, we shall visit the Stone Arch Bridge for views of Mississippi River, including St. Anthony Falls, as well as St. Anthony Locks and Dam. Besides, we shall see the ‘Ruins’ after a fire at Gold Medal Flour Factory, which has turned into a Museum.

It is the capital municipal of Wisconsin, and it resides in Westside of Milwaukee. It’s known for the vaulted Wisconsin State Capitol, which sits on strip among lakes Mendota and Monona. The Historical Museum forms state’s immigrant history.

Mill City Museum, MN

Mill City Museum is located in the state of Minnesota in the United States. It is a Minnesota Historical Society Museum and is built on the ruins of the Washburn “A” Mill. It is home to some great exhibits.

Minneapolis, MN

Minneapolis is a prime location for the tourists, as it has a bunch of places for you to have a good time. When you are visiting Minneapolis make sure to visit Minnehaha Park, Mall of America, Walker Art Center, and Minneapolis Institute of Art. You will fall in love with the Minneapolis.

Wisconsin State Capitol, WI

It is present in Madison, Wisconsin, lines both cavities of the Wisconsin legislature sideways with Wisconsin Supreme Court and Office of the Governor. It was built in 1906 and is it known for its architectural style.

Today we will continue our journey to North Dakota with the spirit of the pioneers during the Westward Movement. North Dakota has a rich history of pioneering. Located in the Great Plains of the Midwestern United States, the state is one of the largest agricultural states in the country. North Dakota is now one of the least populous states in the United States, with a population of only 750,000.  In today's journey, you will experience what the extensive agriculture is like in the United States. Just enjoy the endless expanse of farmland connected to the blue sky and the clouds! It will make you feel so good! Bismarck is located across the river from Mandan. This name was given after a historic Native American tribe. The two cities form the center of the Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Statistical Area. The State Capitol is a 21-story tower is in Bismarck surrounded by state government buildings. The parks, walking trails, and monuments are favorite for tourists. Bismarck has quite variable humid continental climate system. It has numerous parks systems, exercise trails, swimming pools and golf courses located within the city. It is a central place for tourists.

Bonanza Ville, ND

Bonanza Ville is a museum located in West Fargo, North Dakota. This museum is basically known for its historic buildings and its the overall size. This museum has a total of 40 buildings which cover about 12 acres of land. This is one of the most organized museums due to each of the forty-buildings having their own theme. These themes include a newspaper or press display or any historic displays. These buildings are based upon a certain theme. Bonanza Ville is open throughout the year from May to September and sometimes is available to the public on weekends of October. This historic complex is located on the map just about Interstate 94, making it about two and a half miles west of Fargo, North Dakota.

The museum is about numerous artworks, artifacts, and Native American & African American items of interest such as several years ancient skull the original Thundering Herd oil painting, wildlife mounts.

North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum, ND

The North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum, was opened in 1981, is operated by the State Historical Society of North Dakota It has been called a "Smithsonian on the plains “because of the presence of mummified Demonolatry. The specimens include a gem, mineral, and rock collection. It contains about 12,000 years of human history from across North Dakota.

We will travel to Painted Canyon in the morning. It is perfect for sightseeing and enjoying some of the most beautiful sceneries. From there, we will visit the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. This National Park will provide excellent natural scenic views to guests. We will spend the night in Billings.

Painted Canyon is a valley located in Billings County, North Dakota. The name painted canyon is derived from an obvious fact which is its colorful rocks. This point of interest receives a lot of visitors all over the year and one of its greatest attractions include the Painted Canyon hiking trail.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park, ND

Theodore Roosevelt National Park is located near the end of Interstate 94 near Medora, North Dakota. This park’s main highlight is its name. It was named after the President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt. This park is divided into three sections which serve different purposes. It is filled with different points of interests and attractions for all ages. These include scenic pathways, horse trails, ranch and many more. The park received over 700,000 recreational visitors and is the only park in the United States named after a single person.

Today we will travel to the world famous Yellowstone National Park. This first ever national park is home to one of the finest attractions in the entire region. From Mammoth Hot Spring to the famous Upper Yellowstone Falls, from Old Faithful Geyser to Grand Prismatic Spring, we will visit every famous attraction at the park. We will also sightsee the famous West Thumb Geyser Basin of the Park. For the night stay, we will head to Billings.

Mammoth Hot Springs, WY

On a hill of travertine in a YellowstoneNationalPark, there is a large complex of hot springs known as Mammoth Hot Springs. It is located in Wyoming.

Mud Volcano, WY

A Mud Volcano is sometimes also known as a mud dome. They are formed by geo-exuded mud or slurries, water and gases. These volcanoes do not produce any lava what so ever.

Old Faithful Geyser, WY

In the Yellowstone National Park of Wyoming, US, the Old Faithful Geyser is known for grand, scenic view. This name was given to the building in 1870, when the first geyser in the park got the honor of a name.

The Yellowstone River flowing north towards the Haden Valley, first plunges over a steep cliff forming a massive Upper Yellowstone Falls, and then it flows downstream forming the Lower Yellowstone Falls. The Upper Yellowstone Falls is more than thirty meters high. The edge of upper falls symbols the intersection between a rhyolite lava flow and glassy lava that has been eroded by the wind and water heavily.

Yellowstone National Park, WY

The US state of Wyoming is blessed with breathtaking waterfall through a cascade is Yellowstone National Park. The Park has been established in the year 1872.

Today we will visit the two world-famous national monuments in the United States, Devil’s Tower National Monument in the northeast corner of Wyoming and Mt Rushmore National Monument at the northwest corner of South Dakota. Devil's Tower and Yellowstone National Park are listed respectively as the first National Monument and National Park in American History. Interestingly, they were all established by President Theodore Roosevelt. After Devil’s Tower, we will arrive in South Dakota, see Mount Rushmore National Memorial.In the evening, we will head to the famous mine city – Keystone and enjoy dinner there. Mount Rushmore National Memorial, SD

Rapid City, SD

Rapid City in South Dakota of US is a favorite tourism spot and close to Mount Rushmore National Monument. It is also known as ‘the city of Presidents’ due to sculpture of famous Presidents.

The day will start at Badland National Park, South Dakota's famous national park. It looks creepy when taking a far view, and it’s like entering the moon's surface when walking into this strange and rugged terrain! Then we will head east, going to the great plains in the midwestern US, passing through Mitchell Town which is known for its corn production history. Arrive in Sioux Falls, the largest city in South Dakota with a rich history of Native Americans, named after the American native Sioux. The Big Sioux River and its branches run through the city, forming a series of waterfalls. We will arrive in Blue Earth, Minnesota in the evening, where Green Giant originated. Overnight stay in the town.

Falls Park, SD

Falls Park is a national park located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It is known for its beautiful showcase of the falls of the Big Sioux River. There are a few points of interests there, the main one being the falls. It also has a café’, the remains of an old mill and an observation tower.

Mitchell, SD

Mitchell is the most-renowned and tourist’s most favorite city in South Dakota. The city was founded in early 1879. It is home to the famous Corn Palace, which is one of a kind castle decorated in a magnificent style through the colorful grains and corns. It is also home to Dakota Discovery Museum, which the country’s finest museum depicting the modern-day discoveries and much more. Mitchel is the ideal for visitors as it houses a wide variety of attractions, hotels, and similar amenities.

Sioux Falls, SD

Sioux Falls is the most populous city located in South Dakota. It also the 43rd fastest growing cities located in the US. It is also known for its motto which is “The Heart of America”. In 2019 alone, Sioux Falls had an increased population of over 180,000. The city is located between Interstate 90 and 29, in the rolling hills. It covers a total of 73.47 square miles of land and is located in the extreme eastern section of South Dakota.

World's Only Corn Palace, SD

The corn palace also known as Mitchell Corn Palace is a place of interest due to its one main highlight which is the art on the exterior of the palace. The Moorish Revival building is decorated with crop art which seems to be the interest for many people. This popular tourist destination welcomes over 500,000 guests and the surprising fact about this place is that every year, a new design covers the walls of the palace. These designs are basically constructed from grain and corn. It is located in the City of Mitchell and has a total of 2 floors. It also serves the community for sports events, exhibits, and concerts which is astonishing.

On our last day, we will visit the SPAM museum in Austin, Minnesota! Austin is where Hormel Food Corporations locates, its ham and all kinds of sandwich meats, among which SPAM is probably the most world-famous, can be found in almost every market around the US. While visiting the museum, don’t forget to visit local shops and grab a sandwich made from SPAM! After lunch, we will head to Original Wisconsin Ducks,and back to Chicago after the trip.

Austin, MN

Austin is a city in Mower County, Minnesota. It is sometimes referred to as the SPAM City USA because of the SPAM company being its largest employer. It covers a total land of 13 square miles with an estimated population of 24,718. Austin is home to the Paramount theatre and many other places of interests related to arts. Unfortunately, major floods and tornados tend to hit this small city. In 2015, Austin was mentioned as the “Smallest livable cities in the US”.

Original Wisconsin Ducks, WA

The Original Wisconsin Duck Tours offers rides on both land and the water. Ever since the first invention of duck tours in 1946, the Original Wisconsin Ducks kept appealing visitors for its sightseeing rides throughout the city on both the land and the water. Original Wisconsin Ducks runs on the Wisconsin River, Lake Delton, and drives up to the scenic wilderness for a thrilling experience.

SPAM Museum, MN

SPAM Museum is an admission-free point of interest for tourists because of its neat display of the history and today's stance in the world’s culture of SPAM. SPAM is a company which served canned precooked meat. The museum tells its guests the history of SPAM as well as the origin of the Hormel Company, the founding company of SPAM.


  The order of itinerary may change without any notice depending on weather situations or for some other unforeseen circumstances.

  The order of activities held during the tour is planned by the tour guide. So, it may be different from what is mentioned on the tour page. On fewer occasions, Tour Guide has to skip an attraction or few during the tour depending on weather, traffic, group interest or some other reason.

  Some attractions are seasonal. So, when they are closed they will be replaced with some other attraction.

  You can skip some optional activities during the tour and plan something on your own. Make sure that you coordinate with Tour guide and stay with the group with next activity. Please note you cannot stay on the bus if you skip some optional activity.

  Probable hotel names are mentioned in the itinerary. It can be similar or a different hotel of the similar rating. Exact Hotel details can only be provided one day before the departure.

  Fee for all Optional Activities and entrance paid in cash to the tour guide. He will arrange tickets for the whole group. Some attractions might be closed on public holidays. Seasonal attractions will be closed after a certain time and itinerary will be changed based on it. Optional activities price may change or can be different as displayed on the website.

  Guide will arrange meals and drinks when requested as they are not included in the package.

  Daily Service charges for driver and the guide is $12 minimum per person.

Important:We never encourage customers to purchase admission packages from outside sources and try using them in this tour with discount. If they do, they must arrange transport on the same day. If you skip some attraction, you cannot do it on your own. You can sit near the bus or visit some nearby place, but you will not be allowed to sit in the bus.

  Tour display price is based on double occupancy. It is the price each person will pay if a group of two is traveling.

  Prices may change without any notice.

  Admission Tickets to different places and meals are NOT included in the tour price.

  Mandatory Tip for tour guide and driver are NOT included.

  Only the tour guide can purchase entrance tickets for you. Pre-purchased tickets are NOT acceptable.

  There must be at least one passenger of 18 years for every booking made with GoldenBusTours. For Children between the age group of 2 to 14 years, a different price will be charged. Please refer to Child price on our pricing calendar. Child Age may vary between different bus operators. Maximum 4 people of any age can stay in 1 Room in the hotel. If the 5th person is infant you will be charged normally then with the second room as an expense.

  Activities are optional though, but each customer has to participate in 2 activities at least. No city pass allowed. Some attractions are mandatory. Each customer has to take part in them and have to pay for them in cash.

Important Notes

  Arrive at departure location 10 to 15 minutes before the mentioned time to make sure you catch the bus on time. If in case you are late, the bus will not wait for you at the location and ultimately you will miss the entire tour (no refund in this case).

  Return time on the website is just an estimation. Expect some variation always. Time may change depending on traffic and weather situations

  There is a possibility that tour operator may use a shuttle to drop you off at the return location. It usually happens in the case of multiple return locations.

  You can leave the tour at any place only after signing a Tour Departure Form for leaving the tour early.

  Please note that price will stay the same even if you leave the tour early.

  If you have booked a pre-tour hotel stay, then you will have to arrange your own transport from hotel to departure location.

  If you have booked extra night hotel after the tour, then you will arrange transport from drop off point to hotel.

  On West Coast tours some bus operators have a lot of departure locations. A slow start is expected on these tours.

Policies

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Same Cancellation policy would apply even if the cancellation or reschedule request comes because of the COVID. We strictly follow the policy after COVID.
 
No matter the reason for the cancellation, we are forced to carry costly charges from our travel and hotel providers in the form of penalties and fees that are incurred when there is a cancellation of confirmed or pending bookings. As such, there are cancellation penalties or fees incurred.

Determination of the time of cancellation will be done when the notice is received and confirmed by our office. You must make any notice of cancellation directly to GoldenBusTours by email or webmail at the Contact Us section.

Cancellation charges 

⇒  16 days or more prior to departure, 10% of the tour fees will be charged as cancellation.

⇒  9 to 15 days prior to departure, 50% of the tour fees will be charged as cancellation.

⇒ Within 8 days prior to departure, 100% tour fees will be charged as cancellation.

Any Amount paid in cash to the Tour Guide is not refundable.

There is no refund for unused features. You forfeit the entire payment when you are a no-show on the departure date and unable to join the tour for any reason including COVID.

An add-on fee of 6% for handling fees is charged in addition to the above penalties. No matter what the reason for cancellation is, the processing fee will be deducted on each refund.

In order for there not to be a cancellation, a minimum number of participants are required. We reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip although every effort is made by us to ensure that normal operations are maintained. We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure with respect to operating requirements or circumstances beyond control. In case a cancellation is made at any given moment in time before departure, our only liability as GoldenBusTours will be to refund you the amount we received for the booking of the tour. We will try our best to re-book the same or similar tour if the future travel plan suits you. We are not responsible for any cancellation penalties that may have been incurred on any other travel arrangements like separate purchase of air tickets, visa cost, taxi fare etc. We are not liable for any other travel arrangements that have been affected as a result of the cancellations. 

Note: More than 30 days after the completion of the tour, we cannot grant any refunds. Each Cancellation Request must be received in writing by email.

Cancellation and reschedule charges are applicable even if you are NOT able to take the tour because of visa rejection, COVID or any other serious issue. If you reschedule a tour and later decide to cancel it then cancellation charges will be applicable to the original departure date and not to the rescheduled one.

Tour Confirmation

You will get an email immediately once you place an order. Tour Confirmation usually takes 2, 3 days except for urgent order. Urgent orders can be confirmed in a day or even few hours, but we can’t assure success in these cases. On fewer occasions, some of the others may require a longer period of time for confirmation. You are advised not to book airline tickets unless you have received the confirmation.


E-Ticket (Mandatory to be on bus)

Your e-ticket includes complete operator information such as local telephone numbers at your destination. You are required to print the e-tickets and bring them along with you on the trip. They will be needed as proof of purchase.


Changes in Booking

You may incur a fee for any revisions or alterations made to the reservation when the booking has already been confirmed. Cancellation fees may be applied to things such as name changes or corrections. They may also apply to tour date changes or tour itinerary changes. Please note that no departure changes are permitted 72 hours before departure.


Changes in Tour Itinerary

We are continuously striving to improve tour itineraries and features. In the event of unforeseen circumstances that are beyond the control, we do reserve the right to vary the itineraries and to substitute hotels. Duplicate departures may operate during certain peak periods, sometimes in reverse order. As such, hotels may vary from those included on the itinerary pages.

Reschedule

​If you want to reschedule your tour (change the departure date or choose a different tour) then a reschedule fees may be applied. No reschedule request will be entertained within 15 days before the departure date. 

Cancellation and reschedule charges are applicable even if you are NOT able to take the tour because of visa rejection.

Pricing

1. One room can accommodate maximum 4 people. Even if you are 5 people including 1 month old baby you still need 2 rooms.

2. If you can carry your child up to 2 years of age then you do not need to book seats for him. It may vary from one tour to another.

3. Service providers hold the right to change the itinerary and hotel arrangements without any notice.

4. Child (0-9 years) and Single traveler going on the tour have special rates. These prices vary from one tour to another.

5. Meals and Attractions are not included. You can ask your tour guide to try to arrange the meal for you as per your requirements. For attractions, admission fees pay it to the tour guide on the tour.

8. In Case of Bank Wire Transfer customer have to bear Wire transfer fee.

Child Rate:

Child rates are applicable for children between (0-12 years) of age. Parents are advised to bring car seats for the safety of their child.

Responsibility

1.We highly recommend you to provide your flight details while booking tour with us or at least send us flight details via email 3 days before your tour departure. In case of non-compliance, you will be asked to join your hotel on the first day of tour at your own expense
 
2. Please check our return timings before booking your return flights at the end of the tour. During high season (National and Summer Holidays) book your flights at least 1 hour later than the suggested time.

3. Before booking any tour make sure to go through every detail like tour itinerary, tour price, cancellation policy,  reschedule and refund policies. Tour Guide will be Chinese and English or it can only be chinese based on the group size.

4. You should either bring a printed copy of your E-Ticket or bring it in your smartphone on the day of tour departure. You should also bring a valid photo ID along with your E-Ticket. In the case of any issues for not carrying E-Ticket or Photo ID GoldenBusTour will not be responsible.

5.Make sure to provide a valid phone number so we can reach you in the case of any emergency.

6. Please read all important notes, inclusion, exclusion section, terms and conditions, policies and below notes.

    6a. Tour Operator holds the right to cancel the tour at any time depending on poor weather condition or some other unforeseen circumstances. However, GoldenBusTour will update its customers about the cancellation and shall not be held accountable for charges other than tour fees.

    6b. Change in tour price will not affect any confirmed booking.

    6c. Tour Operator can change the order of itinerary at any time without any notice.
 
7.You will be responsible for your travel documents during the tour.

8.Reach Departure location about 20 to 30 minutes before departure time. Unfortunately, no one will wait for you in case you get in late. The bus mostly has Bus Operator name and logo on it. Even if you are five minutes late and miss the bus then GoldenBusTours or Tour Operator will not be responsible. There will be no refund in this case. You will be charged 100% tour fee.

I will definitely recommend this tour to everyone. You can enjoy a lot in this tour and can really explore a lot of fantastic places in this tour. This was surely the best week of my life.

It is a good tour. I really liked the tour a lot. It gave us freedom to discover a lot of new places in Chicago and we did and we really enjoyed that. My 10 years old son liked the tour a lot and that was the highlight of this amazing trip for me.

The tour got boring after first few days and I didn’t enjoy the last two days. The tour is good overall and the shortest version in the three tours to the same place. This one was appropriate as I had only one week before finals week and I chose this tour but it got boring after first three, four days.
