Crystal Cove State Park: A wild blend of natural and artificial features, Crystal Cove State Park was founded in 1979. This 3,936-acre facility compromises of 3-miles of beaches and pools, 400-acres of bluffs, 2,400 acres of the canyon, and an underwater park. This state park greatly promotes physical activities and is very popular among mountain bikers, scuba divers, swimmers, and surfers. Hiking and camping are also practiced. Crystal Cove State Park provides shelter to a diversity of species of animals. 180 different species of birds are witnessed here including the Turkey Vulture, Ring Billed Gull, the House Sparrow, and the Mourning Dove.
