\nComprehensive exhibitions, vintage homes, and miles of trail and garden are through which Atlanta History Centre attempts to explore the past. Spread across 33 acres, the primary building is the Atlanta History Museum which houses exhibits spanning from the history of the region. You can also explore the nearby estates and houses which are from the 19th<\/sup> century.<\/p>\n
\nHome to Atlanta Ballet and the Atlanta Opera, the Egyptian themed Fox Theatre hosts over 300 performances in a year. This 5000 capacity facility has vibrant colored ceiling and walls, with moving clouds and stars making the viewer experience a worthy one. It is famous for this place that even if the show isn’t good, the user presence inside the theatre is amazing.<\/p>\n
\nA perfect spot to be on a lazy afternoon, having a picnic provided you bring your own food as vendors are allowed only during special events and festivals. There are provisional paths for walking, jogging, and biking, apart from that there are designated zones for bocce, soccer, etc. Free admission to the park, but they charge some basic fees if you want to go swimming.<\/p>\n
\nA 21-acre land featuring artwork, pools, lush green paths and fountains forms the Centennial Olympic Park. It was built back in 1996, for the Olympic Games, it is now a centerpiece of festivities and among most visited landmark in the city. The Fountain of Rings consisting of 251 water jets is a popular attraction in the park. Daily they conduct four water shows in which the jets have been choreographed to various tracks.<\/p>\n
\nThe first stop for plant lovers in the city, covering 30 acres this facility situated at the northern part of Piedmont Park, features several rare forms of flora like the Fuqua Orchids, begonias palms, hibiscus and fauna such as the colorful poison dart frogs, etc.<\/p>\n
\nHome of the Atlanta Braves, this is a hot spot for all baseball fans. Inside there are more than 100 food and beverage vendors, batting cages and face painting stations. The stadium can accommodate over 50,000 spectators. Take tours of the dugout and the locker room. Later you can visit the Braves Museum & Hall of Fame which honors the players you left back the Braves’ legacy.<\/p>\n
\nFeaturing around 80,000 animals from 500 different species divided into five permanent exhibits, come at the world’s largest aquarium. You will find new albino alligators, beluga whales, sea otters, giant octopi and even penguins. Also walk through the Ocean Voyager exhibit, a tunnel featuring huge whale sharks, stingrays, hammer sharks, manta rays, etc.<\/p>\n
\nA 3,200-acre park, featuring a giant quartz monzonite mountain engraved with Civil War figures like Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Jefferson Davis. You can take a sky ride or a steep hike to trek to the top of the Mountain.
